Each month we offer a brand new schedule of classes which open for registration on the 1st Thursday of the preceding month at 9am. Scroll to the bottom of page to see a schedule for this month, or view the classes by level below.

 

Kids Summer Camps

June 3-6 || 2-4:30PM

June 10-13 || 2-4:30PM

June 17-20 || 9-11:30AM

In this 4-day class, kids 7+ will receive an introduction to wheel throwing techniques, ceramic hand-building and glazing. Preacher Pottery will work with each student to make 4-5 pieces on the wheel and 2-3 pieces by handbuilding. $299

 

Saturday Night Handbuilding: Mini Chiminea

May 18. 6:30 - 8:30PM

Come learn how to make your very own ceramic chiminea with us! This workshop will teach differing hand building techniques (no wheel this time). No prior experience necessary. This is a relaxed time to explore hand building and create functional items you can use.

 

Friday Night Handbuilding: Salt & Pepper Shakers w/ Tray

May 24 | 7-9PM

Come learn to make your own ceramic salt and pepper shaker complete with decorative tray! This workshop will teach differing hand building techniques (no wheel this time). No prior experience necessary.

 

Friday Night Handbuilding: To Go Coffee Tumblers

May 31 || 7-9PM

This workshop will teach differing hand building techniques (no wheel this time). No prior experience necessary. This is a relaxed time to explore hand building and create functional items you can use.

 

Beginner I Wheel Throwing

Come and learn the basics of wheel throwing in a relaxed small group setting. These lessons will focus on wheel control, hand positioning, centering clay, glaze application and the use of basic tools. By the end of this 4- week course, students will have created 4 functional pieces to take home. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.

 

Beginner II Wheel Throwing

For students who have completed the Beginner Wheel Throwing Course.

This course will allow the student to expound upon their basic throwing skills and will focus on centering larger amounts of clay, handling mugs, trimming, and glazing techniques. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.

 

Intermediate I Wheel

This course will encourage the student to expound upon their growing skills by focusing on learning to pull handles, throw lidded jars and be challenged to push themselves with how the overall height of a piece. Some students may have to work outside of class time to finish their work. All materials will be provided.

Handbuilding I

Come and learn the oldest method of building with clay. These lessons will focus on basic hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil, slab building, glaze application and using basic tools. By the end of this course, students will have created functional pieces to take home. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.

Bring your special someone and have fun learning the basic techniques of wheel throwing. This is a relaxed time to explore pottery and enjoy a new experience together. As always, we guarantee good vibes and good tunes.
